Surf seekers often use the beaches at Machrihanish (5 miles west of Campbeltown on the B843 road), and at Westport (6 miles north on the A83).
Breaks Surf Shop is situated in the centre of Campbeltown just 10 minutes from surf beaches. At Westport there is self-catering accomodation available right next to the beach run by Live On The Edge, surfers who have also set up the Westport Beach Surfcam.
