Campbeltown Brass and the Kintyre Schools Pipe Band are thriving bands who have enjoyed significant success over the years. The Sound of Kintyre Pipe Band was formed to enable players to continue competing in a local pipe band beyond school age.
The Twisted Melons are a popular local band steadily gaining currency in the Scottish music scene. In their own words, the trio combines "art pop, psychedelic metal, electronic noise and progressive rock".
Argyll FM, the Campbeltown based independent radio station, strongly features music in its broadcasts along with magazine programs on 106.5, 107.1 & 107.7 FM.
